I like it
I weariness from getting into work early the past few days (getting in about 7.30) makes me worried about if I had a real job in a real place, would I manage the starts? “Slow” by Twin Shadow
This will sound like a terrible sentiment, but after having listened to Twin Shadow’s new album, Forget, I can’t help but classify the sound as “what Grizzly Bear would sound like if they were an 80s new wave band.” A modern new wave band might sound troubling, but I use the term for lack of a better word. There is something strikingly retro about the album, but I can’t place exactly what that may be. Perhaps it’s the bass, which is prominent and striking and unique, the sort of thing that I remember and cherish most about the albums I own that were released during that time period.
