From the great set of Summer Songs in 2000.  Yes, pre the Green album and Maladroit and the dreck that came after.  Those summer songs were like fan fiction, but written by Rivers.  I bet he has a whole pile of this stuff, if he could write it then, he probably still can.  The post-pinkerton albums are probably practical jokes.  Hopefully.
